on March 26, 2023 at 4:47 pmI was treating oily stains on the fronts of colored hoodie sweatshirts. Some splatter type stains from cooking oils I assume and some around the pockets from hands/body oils & dirt. I treated it with the 10% vinegar and then applied the nellies stick and waited approx 15 minutes before washing. I used Nellies powder detergent on bright color setting. After drying the fronts looked like they had powder shadows where I had treated. I rewashed in bright colors but used Roux Maison Sport liquid and they came out fine. (although some of my grease splatters were still there..ugh) Do you think the shadows were because the water was too cold for the dry detergent?

on March 27, 2023 at 10:48 amIt is a possibility, however I think the culprit was the Nellies stain bar. Once applied, rinse out from the back side of the fabric; then launder. Roux Maison Sport has enzymes – so works on oils and grease. Also, a drop of Dawn Dish Soap (tiny amount!) on oils before washing, rinse out from the back of fabric, launder – also a good option.
